2012 Critics Choice Awards

The 2012 Critics Choice Awards were on tonight. I didn’t really watch them completely, but I know that Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel hosted. (Each of them is usually pretty funny. AND I am a huge fan of The League).

Bob Dylan performed and Martin Scorsese was presented with an award for his use of music in his films. Mr Scorses definitely does have amazing taste in music and always picks the best tracks making his memorable scenes even that much more powerful. HOWEVER, Olivia Harrison, widow of George Harrison, helped present this award and as Marty took the stage they played “Layla” by Eric Clapton. “Layla”… which is inspire by Patty Boyd… that chick who used to be with George and inspired some of his greatest songs like “Something”… “Layla” which even refers to George in the lyric “tried to give you consolation, when your old man had let you down.”… I mean come on. EVERY rock and roller knows this… how rude.

Onto the FASHION!

My FAVORITE LOOKS

Critics Choice Awards - My Favorite Looks: 1.) Emma Stone - Jason Wu 2.) Michelle Williams - Chanel 3.) Ellie Kemper - Alberta Ferretti

Looks I didn’t hate:

1.) Berenice Bejo - Elie Saab 2.) Kirsten Dunst - Dior 3.) Viola Davis - Raoul 4.) Charlize Theron - Azzedine Alaia

And the looks I didn’t like so much…

1.) Elizabeth Olsen - Emilio Pucci. I actually really like this dress. It just look weird and out of place at the ceremonies. 2.) Jessica Chastain. 3.) Evan Rachel Wood - Valentino

  1. i agree on your best and worst dressed looks. I loved Kirsten Dunst dress!! It was kinda Gothic chic! Charlize Theron however, I did not like. Idk why, maybe too much ruffle at the bottom?
