Destination Beauty
March 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag
This month’s glam bag only contained 4 products. That in itself is a bit of a disappointment. However, the 4 products I received are all products I’m pretty happy to get. From what I can see of other Ipsy subscriber’s bags, they also received 4 good products. This month I also received one of the products I redeemed ipsy points for: the NYX kit. The theme, Destination Beauty, is meant to inspire upcoming travels and use with ease on vacay. I love that the bag showcases the work of an up-and-coming San Francisco based artist, Klari Reis.
Here’s what my bag contained:
- bareMinerals – Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready – I’m a fan of the Marvelous Moxie lip glosses but this is the first MM lipstick I’ve tried. I really like it. It applies well, stays nicely and the color is a natural, subtle color thats perfect for anytime. I only wish the sample were bigger.
- Nicole by O.P.I. – Roughles in On What Grounds – Very similar to the O.P.I. Liquid Sand polishes with a grainy (sandy), rough texture. I like the color, a bit of an easter egg/tiffanys blue and the testured polishes are fun to play with. The only thing I don’t like bout this polish is how long it took to dry.
- Be a Bombshell – Eyeshadow Quad in Bora Bora – I’m always happy to try another Be a Bombshell product and I’m loving the colors in this quad. A golden shimmer dark brown, a bright teal, gold and copper. This quad only exacerbates my desire to go on vacation.
- Pixi Beauty – Flawless Beauty Primer – I’ve only used this primer once so far but I liked it. It feels light and holds the makeup. It has a very very subtle tint to it and leaves a light golden glow so I’m planing on trying this without any foundation on top. I feel like this primer can provide enough correction and coverage with the assistance of a light concealer.
As mentioned, I redeemed 1000 tipsy points for an additional item. This month, I got the NYX Bronze Smokey Look Kit. The kit contains 9 neutral tones shadows; a tan/gold/brown palette. The kit also contains two lip glosses: 1, a rosey pink and 2, a golden shimmer.
Another satisfactory month for me. I redeemed another 1000 tipsy points and along with my April 2014 Glam Bag, I’ll be receiving TokyoMILK Dark by Margot Elena Salted Caramel Lip Elixir.
In other news, I’ve been dealing with a broken collarbone for the last 4 weeks. This is the first week I am not using my figure eight brace; the first week was HORRIBLE! It hurt so badly. Everything hurt so badly. I got into a car accident and when the seatbelt tightened up, it snapped my clavicle. No fun. Now that I’m mostly healed, it’s time to buy another new car. Needless to say, it’s been a stressful month. I do have a bunch of neat tips on how to dress yourself as well as do your hair and makeup with one arm. Maybe I’ll have to share some of my tested tactics.
As always, thank you for reading. And a special thank you to some of you wonderful readers who signed up for your own tipsy glam bags by using my link. You helped me earn the tipsy points I’ve been happily cashing in recently: Lisa, Allison, Caroline, Susan, Kenya, Morgan, Erica, Melanie, Abbigail and everyone else!!
Love, GK

So sorry to hear about your injury! I hope you heal very quickly!! I finally unsubscribed after getting a crap ton of junk bags but it seems like Ipsy has gotten SO much better. This bag looks AMAZING! Well worth the $10! I’m considering joining again but it’ll be just my luck everyone else will receive the good stuff and I get more junk lol. This is definitely tempting though
Love this post! I’m posting ipsy bag reviews on my blog as well! I’m a couple months behind cause my blog is new but please check it out and leave comments about what you think XO http://beautyjunkiezz.wordpress.com/2014/04/11/november-2013-ipsy-glam-bag-review/

It’s awesome in favor of me to have a web site, which is helpful
in favor of my knowledge. thanks admin
Hi there! I could have sworn I’ve visited this web site before but after
browsing through some of the posts I realized it’s new
to me. Anyways, I’m definitely pleased I stumbled upon it and I’ll be
bookmarking it and checking back frequently!
Hi! I noticed that since some bloggers have acquired a lot of ipsy points from referrals, they post one of their readers’ referral links each month. Would you be willing to do that? I don’t have a blog or youtube channel, and my friends aren’t interested in subscribing. I have never redeemed an item, and I don’t even have 300 points yet. It would be great if you could do this for next month’s ipsy bag review. If not, I understand 🙂 thanks for taking the time to read this!!
Hey Isabella! I’ve cancelled my ipsy subscription, so I won’t be posting any future reviews but feel free to leave your link in a comment (feel free to leave your link underneath each of my ipsy posts if you’d like.) I’ll approve the comments ASAP. Thanks for reading and enjoy your ipsy membership!
