Beautiful Adventures

When I started this blog way back in 2008, I could’ve never dreamed up some of the current beautiful aspects of my life. Particularly, my beautiful girl, Poppy Jayne. In the past years, I focused mostly on beauty reviews and, of course, my cosplay projects. As my life changes and I take on new adventures and challenges, I want Ginger-Kate to reflect that. There are so many facets of my life that I’m proud to share.

Previously, I was hesitant to showcase Poppy in my public posts but our time together is the most important and most prominent piece of me and my life. So, today, and going forward, I want to share more of me, more of us.

This year hasn’t been an easy one. I’ve been learning how to coparent gracefully and reembark on single life but this time, as a single mother. Since December, I’ve spent most of my time soul searching and rediscovering myself. Any new mother knows it takes some time to find yourself again and find that balance of remaining true to yourself but now as a mother.

I’m proud of the life I’m navigating through with my baby girl on my hip. I wanted to share some beautiful images from our recent adventures so far this year. I hope you’ll enjoy.

This weekend, Poppy and I spent a beautiful afternoon among the sunflowers along with my best friend and her mini me. Times like these mean the most to me. A two hour drive there and a two hour drive home with two toddlers is worth it to show these little girls the beauty in the world and hope they never forget it.

Since January, Poppy and I have enjoyed a lot of fun outings. During quarantine, healthy activity, outdoors and away from others is so healing for the soul during such a stressful and scary time.
