Tarte Face

In need of a new foundation and concealer, I swung by Ulta and decided to give Tarte’s a try. I’m a big fan of Tarte and I’m confident these two will do the job. So far, I’m loving them both.

In the Amazonian clay 12hr full coverage foundation (w/ SPF 15) I picked up Ivory. In the creaseless concealer, Fair.

Cruelty free. Natural ingredients. Tarte quickly became a top fav brand of mine. I just might have found my new go-to foundation and concealer.

I almost forgot: I bought my first blending sponge also! I’m pretty excited to give that a go!

(This picture sucks. 😦 I was posting from my phone.)

another MAC post

Two of my absolute favorite MAC products have been nearly daily wears for me over the last couple of weeks. Following in the spirit of yesterday’s post, I wanted to showcase those two products today.

MAC Mineralize Powder Blush in Dainty and MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Pink Pearl Pop

Dainty is the absolute perfect pale pink pop a fair cheek needs! Girlish and glamourous, this is my favorite blush; at least right  now.

Not usually one to wear pinks, especially in lipstick, this shade converted me! Pink Pearl Pop in the Cremesheen finish is one of the few products I will make sure to always have on my vanity.

As always, Thank you for reading!

[semi] recent MAC additions

It was actually a couple of weeks ago that I added these beauties to my vanity but since I’ve been MIA on the blogging-front (again) for a bit, I didn’t have a chance to show-off my new goodies!

First up: MAC Brow Set in A62 Girl Boy. Its terribly hard finding a good eyebrow pencil for my ginger hairs so I typically use a brown pencil; This brow set adds a bronze-y highlight to my brows.

MAC Powder Blush in Style. I’ve been needing a more orange-hued blush and this one provides the perfect copper glow.

MAC Matte Lipstick in Diva and MAC Frost Lipstick in Meltdown. Sticking with my orange-y them and caving to my love of deep reds, I adore both of these babies.

September 2013 :: Ipsy :: Classic Beauty

September 2013 Ipsy Glam Bag :: Classic Beauty

I’m so jealous of all the other Ipsy glam bags this month! Why couldn’t I get some Butter London or some Cailyn?! Instead I got stuck with JCats crap lipstick and NYX… NYX! Here’s my bag this month:

  • Elizabeth Mott It’s So Big Volumizing Mascara

I try to view these monthly mascara samples as a good thing but come on, Ipsy! I’m tired of mascara!! I do, however really like this wand and the results are quite nice. But, more mascara?!

  • NYX single eyeshadow in purple

Yeah, I’ll use it. But NYX? Come oooooon. Give me new! Give me exciting! Give me more than mediocre quality! I’m not knocking the NYX brand, it’s decent stuff; it’s not amazing stuff but its decent stuff (especially for its price) but I expect more from a subscription service and I’ve received too many NYX products over the past year from Ipsy.

Also, I happen to love purple eye makeup but whats “classic” about that?

  • Starlooks Kohl Eye Pencil in K01 Obsidian

I do love a good eye pencil and this one stays well while also smudging well when creating my look.

  • JCats Beauty Fantabulous Lipstick in FL107 Honeycrisp

First of all: at this point, I know JCats is crap products. Body shimmer and false lashes (that I received previously from Ipsy) are one thing, it’s not regular, everyday-use supplies, but this lipstick is atrocious. It feels cheap to hold and twist up and when applied it feels even cheaper! And of all colors, beige?! A like a nude lip every now and then but really? This is horrid.

  • Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels

I’ll be happy to give these a try, especially after a particularly intoxicating evening.

Not thrilled this month. especially after seeing some if the fantastic products in others’ bags. I feel slided.

If you’d like to BECOME AN IPSY GLAM BAG SUBSCRIBER please use my referral link. (Ipsy is, in my opinion, the best subscription cosmetics service for the best value!)
