My #nerdvember Master Post

This year, I participated in Set To Stunning‘s #nerdvember contest. Each day, during the month of November, participants can earn an entry into the contest by posting a nerdy inspired outfit of the day. Those who entered 1-10 days qualify for Tier 1 : The Sidekick. 11-20 Days, Tier 2 : The Vigilante. 21-29 Days, Tier 3 : The Hero and All 30 Days is Tier  4 : The Superhero. I jumped in on the 9th day of the contest so posting everyday for the rest of the month, I’ll qualify for the “Hero”. (For full contest info and rules, check out the official post.)

I had so much fun with this photo challenge and even made some pretty rad instagram friends along the way. (For more information on each of these looks, check out my instagram @gingerkate )

Comic Karaoke

Last night, my little sister, Sarah and I kicked off her birthday week with a night of karaoke and vodka! Since we are in a SDCC frame of mind, she and I decided to take on the town in coordinating comic book inspired ensembles.

A bit less obvious than Sarah’s Batman dress layered with a red peplum pencil skirt, I built my bright blue and yellow outfit around one special accessory: my Batman/Superman headband.

It was another fantastically fun night and I’m looking forward to what today has in store for us. (It was also the season premiere of Face Off on SyFy and I’m eager to watch that!)

The Day of The Doctor IN 3D OOTD

Last night, my friend Casey, my sister Sarah and I continued our Doctor Who 50th anniversary celebrating at our local movie theater where we watched The Day of The Doctor in 3D on the big screen!! Here’s what I wore:

Dark wash skinny jeans with a black t. TARDIS knee socks in black combat boots. Black leather moto jacket. My Who accessories included my TARDIS earrings, exploding TARDIS necklace, and 10th Doctor’s sonic screwdriver. I was going for a bit of an Eccleston look tonight.

Just doing some Doctory stuff… In the dark.

The Day of The Doctor OOTD

It’s here!! Today is the day I and every other Whovian have been eagerly awaiting! Today is the world wide simulcast of The Day Of The Doctor!! I’ll post a proper review of the 50th anniversary special later but for now, I’d like to share my Who-inspired outfit of the day.

With my [11th Doctor’s] sonic screwdriver in hand, I finally wore my red Dalek dress by Her Universe! I kept with the geometric style by pairing it with a black and white horizontal striped grandpa-sweater.

Keeping with my Who Villian theme, I accessorized accordingly:

Adipose earrings, Capricorn (as in Max Capricorn) necklace w/ simple black beads, black stars ring and a black bow headband! Of course, I was rocking one if my pairs if Converse All Stars on my tootsies too!

After an early day of spending too much money at Hot Topic in Fangirl (and Fanboy) must-haves, my dear friend Casey and I tuned in with Whovians everywhere to watch The Day Of The Doctor… And it. Was. AMAZING!!!

I had to work tonight but I wanted to continue celebrating via fashion. Here’s what I wore to the bar tonight too:

20131126-101829.jpg

TARDIS blue tank top and crop top, TARDIS blue Converse All Stars, red bow tie as a headband, TARDIS earrings, I [heart heart] The Doctor button and I brought my 10th Doctor’s sonic screwdriver with me!

Welcome to the Circus

Here it is! My Halloween costume for 2013. Tonight, I’m enjoying the company of some amazing friends of mine as we party at “the compound”. I’ll be wearing my costume again, tomorrow night, at work too.

I bought the gold sparkle shorts, red cropped coat and riding crop from Amazon. (All super cheap too!!) I got the corset top out if my corset collection (I’m quite the corset enthusiast.) and I purchased the too hat headband and the fishnet tights and fingerless gloves at Walmart.

Happy Halloween!!!
