2012 MTV Movie Awards

Last night, were the 2012 MTV Movie Awards.I didn’t watch them. … But I did DVR the event because I can’t help myself. Tonight, I fast-forwarded through a lot of the bs (who am I kidding? this whole show is bs. They (shamelessly) make up the categories every year to suit the nominees/winners.) but there were some cool moments that I didn’t skip through.

As usual, my favorite part of any award show is seeing what everyone wore. I’m honestly shocked at how many dumb bitches showed up on this red carpet in full-on gowns…

Russell Brand hosted the night’s events and, honestly, sucked. I usually LOVE him but he was so not funny and made way too many references to his divorce from Katy Perry. Awkward.

… He still looked delicious. … and I really don’t know why.

My Favorite Looks

My top 3 favorite looks also happen to be 3 of my favorite ladies in Hollywood: Emma Watson, Leighton Meester and Emma Stone.

1.) Jessica Biel – I love the Mod look. I think this dress looks a little heavy and also kind of bulky in the shoulders/armpit region. But I really do like this. 2.) Eva Amurri Martino – I love this simple white dress. Gorgeous. 3.) Victoria Justice – I LOVE this… I have no idea who the hell this chick is, but I like this summery number.

1.) Mila Kunis – I like this. I don’t love it. But I like it. 2.) Ellie Kemper – I really like this floral mini and the bright green clutch! Adorable! 3.) I may not like her, but I often like Kristen Stewart’s red carpet style. This pic shows her in heels, but she later switched to black converse and I like it better with the converse.

Ugh…

1.) Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton – Why are you here? 2.) Julianne Hough – I’m pretty convinced she had Ryan Seacrest hire someone who find out what Paris and Nicky would be wearing so she could match… whats with this weird mid-middrift cut-out trend? It looks stupid.

1.) Kate Beckinsale, why does your dress, for a June event in the Northern Hemisphere, have a turtle-neck? Why? 2.) Crystal Reed – “That girl from that crappy Teen Wolf show on MTV…” This is f*cking stupid. Never walk a red carpet again. 3.) Lucy Hale – I just don’t like this. It’s gross. and it makes her look über stumpy.

Elizabeth Banks and Josh Hutcherson did not represent The Hunger Games very well fashion wise… Everything about Elizabeth’s one-piece pants suit is every that is wrong with one-piece pants suits. (I don’t know if this is even one piece… just go with it.) And, I’m sorry Josh, is that a damn Members Only jacket?… cause it’s as ugly as one if it isn’t.

WTF is going on? …

Vanilla Ice? Brooke Hogan? JEAN CLAUDE VAN DAMME?

What. The-F*ck. Is. Going. On? …

Let’s look at some boys…

I love these guys. Workaholics is hysterical!!!

Chris Hemsworth… I do love a Hemsworth boy… so…uhhh…. perfect.

I just hope that if Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone ever end, god for bid, that he finds me and we get married and have little Garfield babies… that’s it.

AWESOME MOMENTS

Fun opened and were joined by Janelle Monae… and I’m pretty sure she only owns one outfit: her suit. Wiz Khalifa was awesome. I’m becoming quite the fan of Wiz.

Before being presented with his Generation (Lifetime Achievement) Award, Johnny Depp played guitar with The Black Keys! It was pretty damn sexy.

MTV created a whole new award this year. Groundbreaker Award. I’m not bothered by this because they, appropriately, presented the award to Emma Stone who was so gracious and adorable and teary-eyed.

I’m super stoked about the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man and the set behind Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield when presenting… something… looked amazing.

Most adorable couple EVER to walk the Earth. I love these two and I love them together. Can you two please get married and have lots and lots of babies and live happily ever after? Please?

When Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg took to the stage to present the award for “Best Dirtbag”… someone in the audience said something that was apparently “vulgar” to Mila. I’ve searched for answers and the only one I read claims that the audience member called Mila a “C#ntbag”… regardless of what was said, Mark stepped up and threatened to beat his ass… which was sexy.

Later, someone’s Mom pretended to knee some guy in the balls…

SURPRISE! Kristen Stewart can’t talk in front of a camera.

Gary Oldman… Gary FREAKING Oldman… yeah… Gary Oldman, Christian Bale and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Later joined by Christopher Nolan) showed a sneak-peek at Batman Dark Knight Rises… and I don’t think I blinked. I can not wait for this movie to come out.

2012 Grammy Awards

Last night, the 54th Annual Grammy Awards were held at the Staples Center in Los Angelos. The Grammys are one of my favorite awards shows because I am obsessed with, live, breathe music. Now, the Grammys really only cater to a fraction of my musical tastes because only a fraction of the music I enjoy is commericla enough to be recognized by the mainstream media outlets (Which is more than perfectly fine with me. I HATE when something I love so much (especially a band) is polluted and ruined by bandwagon fans. Now, thats not to say that I hate when bands “sell out” and find success in the mainstream. I’m a girl who wants her cake and to eat it too I guess… Enough of this tangent.) But at least the Grammys can usually deliver a few great, memorable performances and of course, my favorite, the perfect outlet for fabulous fashion! Shall we then?

MY FAVORITE LOOK OF THE NIGHT:

Rihanna at the 2012 Grammy Awards

Rihanna, for me, looked the best on the red carpet. I love everything about this from the plunging neckline to the Louboutins. Her amazing, wild hair and makeup complete everything that is fabulous about this look.

BEST DRESSED

Kate Beckinsale, Kelly Rowland and Queen Adele all looking fab at the 2012 Grammys

One of my biggest Girl Crushes is Kate Beckinsale and at the Grammys, she looked amazing! I also loved Kelly Rowland; her gown is gorg and her hair is fierce. And Queen Adele is the winner of the world looking amazing and classic.

Jajjie J, Corinne Bailey Rae and Kelly Osbourne

Jessie J looked like my Mirror-Ballgown Dream come true! I love this! Corinne Bailey Rae, one of my favorite female musicians, looked totally gorgeous and completely awesome all at the same time. Kelly Osbourne looked so elegant! (and I love her)

John Legend, Most of Kings of Leon, Common

Guys were looking swagertastic last night as well.

Ok, she’s bat-sh*t crazy, but I have to give credit to Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga at the 2012 Grammy Awards

She may be to good to walk the red carpet, but I love that she looks like a citizen of The Capitol (THE HUNGER GAMES!!!!!!!). Who else but Gaga can pull off a full body veil and a golden staff? Not Nicki Minaj, thats for damn sure. And come on, she’s hanging with Sir Paul McCatney…

***Can we please take a moment to recognize how brave it was of Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton to sit next to her… those poor, pimple love-fools.***

WORST DRESSED

Katy Perry and Taylor Swift

Katy Perry, I am so disappointed. WTF is this anyway? First of all, your dress doesn’t have to match your hair. Second, this looks like a bridesmaid gown from 1978. Taylor Swift annoys the crap out of me anyway, this gown makes her look like some 80s Hong Kong call girl.

Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood, Fergie

I’m not even sure why I hate this look on Alicia Keys, but I do. She wearing the same Christina Louboutin heels as Rihanna (go back and look.), but with Rihanna’s long gown, the little toes sticking out awkwardly doesn’t stand out so much. I’m also not digging the gold amour protecting her neck and chest. Carrie Underwood looks winder than a double-wide trailer. (Now even her fans can understand why I hate this gown.) Everyone kept talking about how “daring” Fergie was for wearing this. First of all, it’s screaming for attention. Second, if she was so damn daring she wouldn’t have selected rib-high granny panties to wear underneath (yeah, we know you’re looking for that all day tummy control Fergie). And Finally, this color combo only reminds me of Halloween, which is my favorite holiday and somehow appropriate for how scarey this is. Ugh.

ABSOLUTE WORST DRESSED

Nicki Minaj's most recent desperate cry for attention

You. Are. Not. Gaga, Bitch. This is not a “statement”. This is, yet another, desperate cry for attention. We may have been shocked by Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer” when it came out but this is not shocking. This is not thought-provoking. This is stupid.

Every award show and it’s given red carpet has a few attendees that just make me question: “Why the f*ck are you here?” From now on, I will have a special part of each red carpet post specifically for this: WTFAYH?! The Grammys presented me with at least three of these attendees:

WTFAYH? Why The F*ck Are You Here, Rebecca Black, Paris Hilton and Snooki?

ON WITH THE SHOW!

Performances

Jennifer Hudson, Bruno Mars, The Beach Boys with Foster the People and Maroon5

Of course, at every oppertunity, somebody mentioned Whitney Houston.. ok.. then we had to watch Jennifer Hudson do her best impression of her. Bruno Mars gave, what I thought, was an incredible performance! The Beach Boys performed with Foster the People and Maroon5, performing with Maroon5 being their first mistake. They’re clearly… aged. And where the hell was John Stamos?!

Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj,Taylor Swift.

Ok, Katy Perry’s performance in a very unflattering costume was pretty horrid. I hate to say it because I love Katy but the dopplerganger opening with “E.T.” and then this new, very angry song about moving on… go over-eat ice cream and talk about your ex with girlfriends… And Nicki Minaj. Um….. Waste. Of.Time. Every moment of Nicki’s performance, complete with a completely stupid and completely unnecessary video of “Roman”, all I could think was that that time could have (and should have) been given to Paul McCartney… I’m just sayin’. Taylor Swift… what is this elaborate, hillbilly set? I don’t get you… and you’re f*cking lame. Oh, I’m sorry, am I being ‘mean’? Maybe it’s because everything you do is horrible… and Beyonce had one of the best babies of the year…

Rihanna performs with Coldplay and cuddles with Katy Perry in the audience.

Rihanna’s performance with Coldplay made me totally go “wtf?” when it started… then I started asking “Where the hell is Coldplay?” Chris Martin finally showed up and the performance was… eh… But Rihanna and Katy Perry cuddling in the audience was way adorable and more entertaining to watch than her performance.

Adele's performance at the 2012 Grammys

Queen Adele was breath-taking, mind-blowing, tear-jerking and over-all incredible, as usual. I can’t say how much I love this woman. She is so freaking amazing and I can listen to her albums from start to finish and enjoy them every time… especially when I want to cry for a bit or belt my lungs out (alone. by myself. so nobody gets hurt.)

Paul McCartney performed twice at the 54th annoual Grammy Awards

Oh Paul. SIR Paul McCartney. I can not express how much I love this man either. I share this love with so mnay and thats one of the things I find most beautiful about him. Paul first performed a song from his new cd “Kisses on the Bottom” but then took the stage again with Bruce Springdstien, The Foo Fighters and others who had b=performed earlier in the night. He performed, the impecible, Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End… I died.

***Look how awesome Dave Grohl looks! (Love that man too!)***

WINNERS

Adele is the 54th Annual Grammy Awards' big winner

And the winners are: Adele. Adele. and Adele. … She swept the damn show. I was so happy every time they called her name and every time she accepted it was adorable and gracious and so classy.

Adele cleaning up at the 2012 Grammys

and some other people won too… INCLUDING, the hilarious, Louis C.K.! Yepp…
