Balthazar’s Band of Beauties Photos

March 5th & 6th, I participated in a one-of-a-kind Creep Walk with some of my Treasure Coast Cosplayers buddies at the inaugural Treasure Coast Freak Show 2015 Horror Con. Balthazar’s Band of Beauties is an original idea invented by one of my best friends, Steve (President and founder of The Treasure Coast Cosplayers). Back in October (during my blog sabbatical), we first brought this gruesome side show to life at our Halloween party. After that, the Horror Con organizers and promoters asked us if we would make a larger version as featured entertainment at Treasure Coast Freak Show. We were stoked. The original Band of Beauties only included a few of us, so this time around, we brought together more than double the amount of characters. All of us created our stories, costumes, makeup and sets. It was a group effort that showcased all of our individual talents and passions. It was truly an awesome experience!

We were quite the hit and the focus of lots of the media coverage for the con. We were even asked to give a private show to all the celebrity guests! Here’s a look at some of the fantastic photos a couple of truly talented photojournalists, Christopher Arnold and Molly Bartels, captured over the weekend.

Treasure Coast Comic Con ’15

This past weekend was the very first Treasure Coast Comic Con! In anticipation of this local con, earlier this year, the Treasure Coast Cosplayers formed. Since the groups creation, we’ve grown to include hundreds of cosplayers and con enthusiasts from the Treasure Coast and surrounding areas. We make up excuses to cosplay and hang out and we always have a fun time! TCC showed up and showed out at TCCC ’15 and I’m so proud to be apart of that! Here’s a bit of my TCCC 2015 experience.

Day 1

My best friend Kacie and I attended Saturday as Poison Ivy & Harley Quinn. We got to snap pics with our mini-me’s. (I gotta tell you, this little girl made me feel like a Disney Princess the way she hugged me!)

We spent most of the day hanging with other TCC members. (I even got to meet a local 10!)

Day 2

Sunday was quieter all around. About half as many attendees over all but we still had a pretty large TCC group in attendance.

I met Iron Man and hung out with fellow Whovians.

But the most exciting part of the day was that the promoters for the event asked our group if we would take a picture with all of the celebrity guests in attendance! It was awesome!

The weekend was a complete success for me! I got to play with the TARDIS both days and I was proud of the two cosplays I worked hard making: Poison Ivy and The Doctor (10th, Brown Suit)

Poison Ivy & Harley Quinn Cosplay for TCCC ’15

Today was day one of Treasure Coast Comic Con 2015! After day two, tomorrow, I’ll post a wrap-up of the Treasure Coast’s very first annual Comic Con but for now, here’s a look at how the costumes I made for Kacie and myself look.

Free Comic Book Day 2015

Today is free comic book day!

Dressed as Chuckie Finster, I hit up two of my local shops and hung out with other CBD folks. It was the perfect excuse for the new cosplay group I’m apart of to get together and enjoy time with new friends. In addition to the comic shops, we also stopped in on a new costume and prop shop in our area. It really was quite the awesome day!
